After finishing the move and while casually watching a few games on TV one player stood out to me, and that was TCU's Sophomore running back Ed Wesley.
Wesley was TCU's third leading rusher a year ago with 638 yards, averaging 6.3 yards per carry and scoring four touchdowns. He also caught eight passes and averaged 21.2 yards per catch, scoring three times through the air.
In a huge game for TCU Wesley carried the ball 17 times for 134 yards and a touchdown. Wesley ran very hard, consistently gaining yards after contact, but what impressed me most was his ability to get to the corner. At just 5'9" he is slightly shorter than ideal, but is very compact, listed at 200 pounds.
This season, Wesley will have to keep the fumbles down, as he coughed up the ball four times last year on just 109 touches.
Wesley is a redshirt sophomore this season, so he will be eligible for the draft after this season. Whether he declares remains to be seen, but this is an exciting football player.
This video gave me chills, and I'm not even a TCU fan...the first song is just unreal.
